Many of us woke up to no email this morning due to an outage at the data center. (we have our servers at ThePlanet.com) The servers were up and running, but network issues were limiting access to the servers.
Some reports from ThePlanet techs:
Our initial analysis shows that a circuit between Dallas and Houston caused the ~8 a.m. CDT network disruption, and it has been repaired.
I've received reports that the issue has been identified and resolved. I'm still seeking more technical information from our networking group on the causes and impact.
Everything should be returning back to normal at this time, maybe a bit of residual routing issues until the routes converge and propagate outwards.
